Dig it up. Fly it home.

The moon has a hole in it. Its missing heart, the Gold Stone, lies deep beneath a quiet mining camp. Start with a copper pickaxe, turn your tunnels into a working mine, and rebuild a wrecked rocket to take it home.

Dig deeper. Make every haul count.

Carve your route through ore-rich rock, hidden caverns and the keepers’ abandoned halls. Bring your haul back to camp, buy better tools and push a little farther next time. Darkness, stamina and the creatures below make the journey back matter.

Mining a gold seam: swings, breaking rock and collecting ore.

Build a mine that runs itself.

Let machines do the heavy lifting. Set miners cutting, load your ore trains and carry the haul to the surface. Build a line that keeps earning while you explore. Your mine pays for the journey above it.

A working ore line: miners cutting and a loader arm filling a train.

Rebuild the Skyward. Aim for the moon.

The wreck beside camp is your way home. Repair it, fuel it with what you mine and upgrade it flight by flight. Climb through clouds and storms until the moon is close enough to reach.

The repaired Skyward lifting off and climbing above camp.

A camp to come back to. A mystery below.

  • Adopt one of six companion pets, each with a useful ability.
  • Explore ancient underground rooms and face the Guardian of the vault.
  • Find tools that change your route: dynamite, a grappling hook, a jetpack and powerful mining machines.
  • Follow a single-player story from your first shaft to the sky above.

Help shape the next build

We’re looking for curious players who enjoy digging games, automation and finding the rough edges in a work in progress. You don’t need testing experience. Tell us what felt good, what was confusing and what made you want one more trip underground.

  1. Join the GoldStone Discord.
  2. Read the welcome and build instructions, then check #dev-builds for current beta access and #known-issues before testing.
  3. Share bugs in #bug-reports and your impressions in #feedback. Include your build version, platform and input method when reporting a problem.

Work-in-progress note: Art, balance and progression may change. Expect bugs; save compatibility can change between builds. Read each build’s notes before updating. Screenshots and clips show development gameplay, not a promise of final content.
